Featuring SP 4449 and CP 2816 In 2000 and 2001, two separate steam excursions, with two different steam locomotives, commenced within 10 miles of each other. SP 4449, painted in a rare black paint scheme, powered an Employees Special over the BNSF system. We chased it from New Westminster, B.C. to Wenatchee, WA. Approximately 14 months later, CP 2816 made her 'maiden run' after a complete restoration from Port Moody, B.C. to Calgary. CPR #1201 & CNR #6060 Two very significant railway-related events occurred in 1985 & 1986. On Nov. 7th, 1985, the 100th anniversary of the Driving of the Last Spike was re-enacted at Craigellachie, B.C. Follow CPR Pacific #1201 on her trip to and from the ceremony!
