In 2000 and 2001, two separate steam excursions, with two different steam locomotives, commenced within 10 miles of each other. SP 4449, painted in a rare black paint scheme, powered an Employees Special over the BNSF system. We chased it from New Westminster, B.C. to Wenatchee, WA. Approximately 14 months later, CP 2816 made her 'maiden run' after a complete restoration from Port Moody, B.C. to Calgary. We followed her on the CPR mainline through the Fraser Valley on her first day's run. Two big steam locomotives showing off their power and sounds at speed on one DVD!
