(Bought directly from CPR in the mid 70's)
CPR exited the passenger train business in the early 1970's. They sold all of their silverware used in their dining cars through their 'in house' shop called "CP Bygones". This was purchased directly from CP Bygones by this seller and stored for 35 years.
This pair of sugar tongs are 4.5" long with spoon shaped ends and have the CPR script logo on one side of the handle (see photo #1). These types of tongs were used for serving cubed sugar. Has the 'Elkington Plate - England' with two crests (larger one with a crown and the smaller one with a 'V' inside the herald) on the inside of one handle (see photo#3 - note: hard to focus due to small size). This pair is original and not replated but is in excellent condition considering their age.
