CPR Royal Hudson #2850 and the Royal Train Poster
Poster of CPR #2850 - the original Royal Hudson pulling the Royal Train in 1939. #2850 was built by ALCO (later MLW) in August 1938. This locomotive was the designated steam engine to pull the Royal Train across Canada with Queen Elizabeth and King George VI. She left active service in 1961 and is preserved today at the Canadian Railway Museum in Delson, Quebec. This poster depicts her traveling along the Great Lakes in Ontario.
