Published by CPR in 1908. Condition of this brochure printed over 100 years ago is excellent. No rips, tears or stains. Very small curl on cover in upper right corner and some soiling in upper left of cover (see photo #1). All pages intact. Brochure was published in Montreal and explains to prospective settlers the 'Advantages, Resources and Climate of B.C'. It is 64 pages with 2 CPR railway maps on inside front cover and a large folded map of B.C. (still attached!) on inside back cover (see photos #2 & 3).
Many photos accompanying the text (see photo #4). This extremely rare booklet advertises the various settling opportunities in British Columbia including descriptions of many BC cities and towns. And even has a page on tips re: immigrating to Canada and how to secure land (see photo #5). Amusing page describes 'How to Reach B.C.' (see photo # 6). Back inside cover has a Canadian Pacific ad for their Empress ships crossing the Pacific to Japan and China. Amusing line in ad states: 'Each ship carries an experienced medical man and stewardess'.
